ATTENTION! The Soldier reports for duty!

Not much is known about Soldier before joining RED Team, though it is assumed by many that he served in the army during the second world war. He is thought to be in his early 40's, unless he lied about his age on his enlistment form. Given his unpredictable tactics, it's certainly possible! On the field he hits hard, using his mastery over the All-American art of Rocketjumping to find weaknesses in his enemies' defenses.

When he isn't dispensing red-blooded American Violence, Soldier patrols the border of RED Base's territory. And when he isn't patroling, he's training. If not that, he's listening to books on tape, specifically the works of military philosopher Sun Tzu to better beat the crap out of all who oppose him. And if you can't find him doing any of that, he's probably getting his full three hours of God-Given sleep. Or getting lectured by Medic about why three hours of sleep is slowly killing him.

When interviewed for the Tuefort Bystander following his November 1967 arrest for the assault of an officer with an humiliating weapon, he said

"HE CHOSE THIS WHEN HE JOINED BLUE AND DONNED THAT UNIFORM, JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHERS. IF I WANT TO CARRY OUT MY ORDERS USING NOTHING BUT A RUBBER CHICKEN TO KILL A MAN, THAT IS MY RIGHT. A RIGHT BESTOWED UPON ME BY THE GHOST OF JOHN ADAMS HIMSELF."

He refused to elaborate on the meaning of that after being released for bail, claiming he remembered none of it.
